CD 162 - Type III, Mold G3

Color: Bi-color Blue Aqua and Green
Base Type: CDP:w

piece courtesy Steve Blair

Features: Retooling of CD 162 I, Mold G3 and CD 162 II, Mold G3 to further widen wire goove and strengthen lettering. Lettering is now strong and even with mostly triangular edges. Front lettering on many pieces is rough with evidence of flaking suggesting deterioration of the mold (see below). Reverse lettering is weaker. The original mold number is barely discernable; new mold number is misshapen. This mold was retooled, CD 162 III, Mold 3.1, with new lettering.

Mold Number Location: on reverse centered below NO; second mold number to left and below NO.
