Features: Lettering is reasonably strong, slightly uneven, with rounded edges. On front, L logo is unusually large and often weak or not visible at the top; C is smaller than other letters and R is larger; the right leg of R is elongated. On reverse, there is no period after NO; a small circular blot out removes the original (Gayner) dash following 38; 3 of 38 has unusually long arms (see below). Mold number is larger than usual, a feature of the original Gayner mold (see below). Retooled to strengthen lettering, CD 164 Mold 3.1.
