CD 162 - Type II, Mold G1

Color: Lt. Blue Aqua
Base Type: CDP:w

Features: Reworking of CD 162 I, Mold G1 to widen wire groove into Type II. On front, lettering is recut, now bold, still with rounded edges. The five blotouts beneath LYNCHBURG are still visible. The short vertical lines to the left of L and to the right of G are still visible although much fainter. On reverse, MADE IN U.S.A. is recut and stronger. The mold number is barely visible and cannot be seen on some pieces. This mold was reworked again into CD 162 III, Mold G1, then retooled twice, CD 162 III, G1.1 and CD 162 III, G1.2.

Mold Number Location: On reverse centered below NO.
