CD 162 Type I Mold G2 front
CD 162 Type I Mold G2 reverse
Color: Lt. Aqua
Base Type: CDP:w

Features: Lettering is generally shallow with rounded edges. On front, there are a series of five faint circular blot outs beneath and slightly above LYNCHBURG; there is a small dot between Y and N. The letters of LYNCHBURG are smaller from left to right. On reverse NO. 36- is retained from the Gayner mold and is stronger with a large circle blot out following; the bottom leg of 3 is larger; there is a faint period before U as well as after; S slants slightly to the right. This mold was reworked twice to widen the wire groove, CD 162 II, Mold G2 and CD 162 III, Mold G2, then retooled to strengthen the bottom of the skirt, CD 162 III, Mold G2.1.

Mold Number Location: On reverse centered below NO.
