CD 154 - Type II, Mold L7

Color: Green Aqua
Base Type: CDP:w

Features: Front lettering is generally even although shallow, with rounded edges. On front, BURG is larger than other letters; the foot of the R is oversize; the L logo is off center to the right. On reverse, MADE IN is much smaller than U.S.A. The S is larger than U and A, the O of NO. is oversize, and the period following NO. is very faint, sometimes not discernable. The two 4s are widely spaced and are of slightly different shape. On many pieces there are blotches around the skirt.

Additional Information: There is a second CD 154 Lynchburg mold with this number (CD 154 Type III, Mold L7), a rare occurrence among Lynchburgs. It is uncertain whether III, L7 is a reworking of this mold to repair deterioration of the mold surface, a modification of another mold, or a new mold. In any case, CD 154 Type III, Mold L7 is a slightly different shape and seems to have replaced this mold, and so carries the same mold number.
