CD 164 - Mold 5

Color: Lt. Aqua
Base Type: CDP:n

Features: Lettering is generally weak with rounded edges. On front, lettering is even and well defined but shallow. There are a series of large circles blot-outs on the front beneath LYNCHBURG. On the reverse, MADE IN U.S.A. and the mold number are very weak. There are two barely discernible large circle blot-outs beneath MADE IN U.S.A. There is no period after NO and no dash after 38; the 8 is elongated vertically. There is a 1/2" slightly flattened area running vertically parallel to the mold line on both sides of the line, producing a wide distinguishable area on both sides of the skirt. While less pronounced, this area continues through the wire groove to the mold line on the upper lip of the wire groove. Mold number is very small and weak and slanted slightly to the left. This mold was retooled to stregthen lettering, CD 164, Mold 5.1.

Mold Number Location: On reverse centered below NO.
