Features: Retooling of CD 164 Mold 3 to strengthen lettering. Lettering is reasonably strong, slightly uneven, with mostly triangular edges. On front, L logo is unusually large and often weak or not visible at the top; C is slightly smaller than other letters and R is larger; the right leg of R is elongated. On reverse, there is no period after NO; a small circular blot out removes the dash following 38; 3 of 38 has unusually long arms. Mold number is larger than usual (see detail below), a feature of the original Gayner mold.
