General Features: Lettering is even and strong, with mostly triangular edges. The bottom rows of lettering on front and reverse are very close to the base. On front, the top of Y is wide; there is an indistinct circular blot-out above, to the right, and partially beneath the L logo. On reverse, there are a series of six indistinct circular blot-outs above NO. 30; N of NO. is larger than the O; 3 is slightly larger than 0 and bottom arm is larger than top. The mold number is die stamped, slightly recessed, and is much weaker than other lettering.
